Cedar Point is located in beautiful Sandusky, Ohio on Lake Erie . Establish in 1870, Cedar Point started out as a simple fishing an hunting Peninsula. In 1892, the first roller coaster was built on the Cedar Point Peninsula. Standing at 25 feet tall and reaching speeds of 10 mph, the Switchback Railway was all the rage and would forever shape the history of Cedar Point.
